eBLANC-MAKNA venture is an initiative campaign to spread awareness and knowledge of cancer. A tie-up that brings two reputable organisations bringing forth a notable cause, that is, cancer awareness. Kicking start the venture, LeBLANC was joined with TFP Solutions Bhd. and Shan&Su in organising its first of many MAKNA venture events with “Shave It Off!: in support of cancer awareness” campaign.
The campaign, in conjunction with MAKNA’s own “Movember: The Ultimate Shave Off” campaign, aims to embed the spirit of giving by highlighting and encouraging people’s involvement in such case. All involve parties had a common interest in initiating this campaign where they wanted to spread and educate people on what cancer is all about, and how it can be identified through early detection, and the steps and precautions that can and could be taken at an event that one is infected by it. The understanding of the seriousness of this matter drove those involve to help not only their own people, but other cancer patients as well.
The campaign managed to successfully collect a total amount of RM 165,000 through the kind contributions and donations from a huge number of individuals and organisations that shares the same values and desire in putting an effort to a good cause.

On top of the impressive amount collected, the campaign saw a total of 22 employees fulfilling their pledge in shaving their heads showing solidarity to cancer patients and the cause.
A spokesperson from MAKNA thanked the employees of LeBLANC and TFP for their efforts and contributions, and are impressed with the level of dedication and participation that was shown by everyone during the entire event and campaign. Understanding that cancer is a leading cause of death in Malaysia, LeBLANC and its associate partners hope to reach out to more people in spreading the awareness of the illness, and are very happy with the acceptance and participation by everyone during the first time venture campaign initiated by LeBLANC’s very own Corporate Communication department.
Benching on the success of this first campaign through the LeBLANC-MAKNA venture, LeBLANC looks forward to a lasting relationship with MAKNA as they hope to be more involved in the efforts to spread awareness and help making things better for those in need. We look forward to a much greater campaign in years to come.
